Position Summary Advantage Benefits Group is an independent, locally owned employee benefits firm that has been providing comprehensive benefits consulting services to the business community in West Michigan since 1997.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in the employee benefits world and will be able to build a book of business in the local area.
The ideal candidate will have experience in our industry, working with groups as opposed to individuals.
The salary range for this position is very broad as is based on candidate experience; The first 2 years are salary guaranteed!
Essential Duties · Identify and develop perspective clients through networking via telephone and in- person contact
· Initiate and develop relationships with quality employers
· Conduct employee meetings for clients
· Evaluate plan performance
· Evaluate and negotiate benefits, rates, services, and performance guarantees
· Evaluate alternative funding arrangements
· Benchmark client benefit programs
· Travel to client locations to hold meetings and give presentations
Competency · Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
· Ability to take initiative, and inspire others with enthusiasm and positive energy
· Strong verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills
· Ability to treat confidential and sensitive information with discretion
· Demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work/appearance/manners
· Ability to build and maintain business relationships with new and existing clients
· Ability to be self-directed, work independently, and as part of a team
· Excellent sales, negotiation, and customer service skills
Credentials/Experience High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferredValid driver's license required5+ years experience in related industry/field Work Environment · Temperature controlled pet friendly office environment with low noise level.
Local travel required to perform client visits.
