Team Summary: The IT Meter to Cash Application Development team is responsible for software development and implementation of new functionality within the Customer Care and Billing system and its Direct Interfaces. This team works closely with the IT business analyst team to assure delivery of products and services that are top quality. Position Summary: PG&E is looking for an Expert Level IT applications design analyst to join their Customer Information team. The analyst will be responsible for evaluating business requirements and developing functional design documents, as well as analyzing O&M and project defects to determine business/technical impact and provide recommendation on fixing the defects.
\n Job Responsibilities:Ideation:Work with business organizations to guide/provide input regarding enhancement feasibilityUsing business process knowledge, proactively look for opportunities for system enhancementsEvaluate and provide input to business needs and requirementsPrepare estimates for customer requestsPrepare preliminary mockups and designsProject:Analyze/assemble Functional/non-Functional requirementsProvide technical expertise and assistance in designing, testing and developing applicationsPerform feasibility analysis, design and provide recommendations on the alternative solutions, project strategy and deliverable prioritization, as well as system alternatives or enhancements to current systemsPrepare final functional requirement and functional design documentConduct walkthrough of deliverables with business and IT Stakeholders and obtain approval/signoffProvide Subject Matter Expert support to developers and testersWork with business to document and analyze project change controlsSupport stabilization of deployed codeMaintenance:Troubleshoot potential system issues to determine if there is a defectAnalyze production defects, identify business and system impacts and quantify problemsContribute to defect troubleshooting and solution designAssist business and technical teams with ad hoc requestsProvide functional expertise to clients for resolving business issues Qualifications: (Minimum)BS in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience7 years in analyzing, designing and developing functional requirements, functional design, UX/UI designExperience as Project Manager, high complexity Qualifications: (Desired)Utility industry experience, job-relatedExperience with CC&B ApplicationOracle Utility C2M certifiedMinimum 5 years of experience with Oracle CC&B applications, and data modelingWorking knowledge of relational databases (SQL experience)Working knowledge of UMLBe able to work independently but within the framework of the team and productBe able to work well within a team settingCollaborate with cross functional teams to maintain efficiency, consistency and achieve successful implementation of system enhancementWorking knowledge of MS Office suite of applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, VisioExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Salesforce CRM application and data modelExperience dealing with Call Center and/or Back Office centric businessUnderstanding of database/schema architecture
