Purpose:

This position plays a significant role in partnering with Operations' professionals to optimize process controls and equipment efficiency.
The Extrusion Process Engineer has responsibility for the extrusion equipment, process, and team development.
This incumbent will partner with departments in Delta Faucet Company to develop and deploy new product and processes, as well as improve existing product/processes and then standardize.
This position has daily interaction with site leadership teams, Supply Chain Leadership Team Members, and periodic interaction with Senior Leadership Team Members.
This position reports directly to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities: Complies with safety procedures and protocols of the Company.
Provides ongoing process and product performance valuation against key objectives such as efficiency, quality, and cost.
Uses yield reports, material traceability, product physical characteristics and process instrumentation to see opportunity for improvement or to identify and address the root cause of deviations.
Supports the deployment of and/or heads the production associate training.
Develops multi-functional relationships with quality, plant maintenance, project engineers, research and development, production technicians, and product planning to drive operational excellence Leads and/or supports manufacturing start-up and qualification teams responsible for the development and installation of new or upgraded equipment.
Validates product quality and generate qualification data packets based on internal and external customer requirements.
Applies tools such as Lean Manufacturing, 5s, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), data analysis, design of experiments (DOE) root cause analysis, statistical process control (SPC) Principal Accountabilities: Scrap Reduction Total Cost Productivity OEE Education and Experience/Skills: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering related field, and 5+ years of relevant working experience Skills in manufacturing and process engineering with a strong emphasis on execution of projects, process improvement equipment validation methods, statistical analysis.
Ability to function in a daily operations environment.
Consistent track record of implementing detailed plans with timelines to meet growing market demands and skills Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to efficiently connect with all levels of an organization are required.
Excellent project management skills Strong problem-solving skills, independent decision-making, and management of conflicting priorities or ambiguity in a fast-paced evolving environment.
Proficient in Microsoft office suite and Smartsheet
