Fabrication And Assembly Operator

Farmshelf is hiring skilled fabrication and assembly operators in Brooklyn, NY, to help scale production of the new Farmshelf F3 hydroponic cabinet. Operators may contribute to all aspects of production including kitting, subassembly, finishing, quality assurance, and packaging.
Position type: contract 30 hours per week
Working days: Monday - Friday
Salary range: $20-25 / hour
Proficient with hand and power tools, good dexterity 2+ years of experience in fabrication and assembly in a shop or factory environmentReadiness to regularly stoop down or lift materials (up to 50 lbs)Strong attention to following standard operating proceduresMaintain a clean and organized work environmentFollow safety protocols and procedures at all timesReadiness to speak up and report issues clearly and promptly to the supervisorWillingness to participate in continuous improvement exercisesCommitment to arrive on time and ready for work according to assigned shiftsPhysical fitness to work hands on and on one's feet for 8 hour daily shifts **Bonus Qualifications: experience with electrical harnessing, soldering, and crimping. Previous experience with operation of CNC routing tools
