Requirements Job Overview

Reporting to the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach, the "Face-off Specialist Coordinator "will carry out all duties within the stated philosophy of Georgetown athletics and its educational mission, and will adhere to all institutional, Big East, and NCAA regulation to ensure the University's compliance.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide general and sport specific coaching/support to the coaching staff of the men's lacrosse program, including but limited to, the development, oversight, and implementation of programs/technical skills to support student athletes in the Georgetown men's lacrosse program.
A wide variety of lacrosse specific assignments will be completed on an as needed basis as well.
This position is responsible for assisting the coaching staff in the overall development of the men's lacrosse program and student athletes, including directly assisting the coaching staff with the preparation, strategy and organization of information related to recruiting activities as well as involvement in on-campus recruiting activity and recruiting correspondence.
This individual will assist in recruiting strategy, correspondence and coordination on campus recruiting efforts and campus and facility tours.

Work Interactions and Work Mode Designation

Reports to the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach.
The Head Men's Lacrosse Coach reports to the Director of Athletics.

This position has been designated as On-Campus.

Requirements and Qualifications

Practical Experience (years needed and type required):

Bachelors degree required

0-2 years of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified, preferably at college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.


Other Skills:
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.Knowledge of athletics recruitment methods and techniques.Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.Strong organizational skills.Strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate an ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgment in the interpretation and application of policies and procedures and to exercise discretion in confidential matters is essential.Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.Valid driver's license with a good driving record; must be insurable.Proficient in computer use and relevant Microsoft applications.Available weekends and evenings - extensive travel required. Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$21.16 - $35.29

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
