Summary
This position will actively contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, the role encompasses tasks to enhance facility performance, safety, and environmental compliance. Additionally, the position involves coordinating with external stakeholders, conducting engineering analyses to optimize processes, and staying abreast of industry trends and regulations. Overall, the role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of oil and gas facilities through proactive engineering support and strategic planning.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Oversee the design and layout of upstream and midstream oil and gas production facilities, including well pads, gathering systems, processing plants, and related infrastructure.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for facility construction and modifications.
Conduct field visits to assess existing facilities, identify operational issues, and propose engineering solutions to improve performance, safety, and environmental compliance.
Ensure project execution by coordinating with contractors, vendors, and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and cost-effective implementation of facility upgrades and expansions.
Perform engineering analyses and simulations to optimize production processes, equipment performance, and energy efficiency.
Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations to identify and mitigate potential hazards and operational risks.
Lead the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs and reliability improvement initiatives for critical equipment and systems.
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to oil and gas facilities.

Education and Experience (required)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience in engineering roles within the oil and gas industry.
Familiarity with production processes, equipment, and facilities design standards.
Experience with engineering design software, tools, and project management principles.
Education and Experience (preferred)
7+ year of experience in engineering roles within the oil and gas industry.
Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
Promax simulation software or related
Bluebeam Revu or related
Process Flow and P&ID development
Cause and effect diagrams
System controls, automation, and logical system design
Process safety valve calculation and sizing
Equipment sizing
Consulting Engineering Experience
Other Requirements
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening
Valid driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle report, and good driving habits
Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship
Compensation
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $95,200 - 152,300 annually in this location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.

Location
This position is locate Denver, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location. No relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position.
Work Environment
This position operates in an office and field environment. This entails working inside in an office space wherein employee may be provided a public work station (cubicle) or private office. From time to time, the role will require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, dust, electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered.
Physical Demands
In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.
Position Type and Working Hours
This is a full-time position. Typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday. Working Friday typical work hours are form 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.
Travel
Routine, even daily, travel to remote locations will be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, or visits to other company office locations.
