SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer. The selected candidate will provide a broad range of facility engineering support across SRC's local and regional offices.
What You'll DoProject design, management, construction, and property administrationCollaborate with internal customers to support operational and R&D requirements including layout, design and developing cost estimatesAdapt to a growth environment and ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detailWork independently but also be a strong team player with customer service orientation and positive outlookDevelop and execute requirements related to facilities project, operations and manufacturing projectsManagement of capital projects, including providing direction and technical coordination to contractors and vendors to ensure quality of work and completion within allocated budget and time framesSolve problems using creative skills and taking ideas from concept to designOperation and maintenance management and safety leadershipSupport maintenance operations including participating in 24x7x365 on-call, facility coverageParticipates in projects involving building maintenance, repairs, and improvementsWhat You'll BringPreferred bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management with 10 or more years of progressive experience in facility operations, design, and construction support or any combination of education, training, and experienceStrong interpersonal skills, including strong customer focus/orientation, decision making, communication and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of clientsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsProgressive experience in facility planning, design layout and project managementExperience performing work under minimal supervision and address facility issues and problemsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and/or Visio. CAD skills, ability to update and create engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Visio is desiredStrong mechanical / electrical aptitude and working knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical and plumbingDesign experience and ability to develop detailed scope of work for facility projects.Good written and oral communication skills are essentialWorking knowledge of all applicable building, safety, and construction codesA facility support aptitude to adapt to several of "whatever it takes" situationsAbility to lift to 45 pounds and work off ladders and high places, with or without reasonable accommodationsTravel up to 20%What Sets Us Apart?SRC, Inc., a not-for-profit research and development company, combines information, science, technology and ingenuity to solve "impossible" problems in the areas of defense, environment and intelligence. Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $114,000 to $133,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
