1. This position is intended to be an entry level position where the employee has limited knowledge of facilities, building systems, equipment, tools.
2. Employee will be provided on the job training (OJT).
3. Primary role requires supporting, coordinating, and performing work in trade areas such as, HVAC and Control Systems, Fire Systems, RO Systems, Security Systems, Elevator maintenance, Lighting and Control Systems, Restroom maintenance, minor plumbing, general repairs and maintenance, minor construction and painting.
4. Provides preventative maintenance work for various facilities and building systems.
5. Ability to learn and utilize facilities maintenance software to review, track and record all maintenance work.
6. Will be required to share a rotation of the on-call schedule and emergency callouts. On call typically consists of a rotation of 24 hour on call for 7 days at a time.
7. Assists with furniture installs and relocations.
8. Operates small power equipment that includes drills, power saws, and other equipment as required.
9. Removes snow from walks, steps, ramps, and parking lots.
10. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operation manuals, safety data sheets, and work orders.
11. Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, and visitors.
12. Experience in the use of computers and software applications.
Facilities Maintenace Mechanic Qualifications: 1. High school diploma or G.E.D.
2. Possess a valid Utah Driver's License.
3. Schedule varies and On-call schedule will apply.
