COMPENSATION:
$62,000 - $78,000 / Annually
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Facilities and Maintenance Director ensures assigned facilities are maintained to the highest safety, environmental, and cleanliness standards, while complying with the organization's external/internal health and safety requirements, and State and Federal regulations. In addition, specializes in telecommunications equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance of systems for the association.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Leadership: demonstrate ability to lead and supervise people with integrity, accountability, candor, respect, and professionalism; to develop strong interpersonal relationships; and effectively communicate and motivate.Management: demonstrate ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and customer (branches, staff, members, and participants) requirements; to problem solve at a functional level; and to anticipate and develop strategic operational plans.Teamwork: demonstrate the ability to leverage resources and diverse talent to achieve superior results while providing team leadership and support.Monitoring: Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.QUALIFICATIONS: Valid certificate in telecommunications or a related field is required for this position.Bachelor's or equivalent experience preferred.Proven 5 years or more related experience as a Telecommunications Technician or similar role preferred.Strong knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment preferred.Familiarity with IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems) and fire alarm systems.Proficient in reading schematics and technical drawings.Experience in computer networking.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Must be available to report to facilities in the event of an emergency or critical systems outage/issue.Minimum age of 18.Reliable transportation to and from assigned locations as required.Child Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of hire.Able to be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified.Fulfillment of state-specific hiring standards and completion of YMCA program-specific training.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.Commitment to inclusion and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
