Job Description Opportunity: Facilities Project Manager - Euless, Texas
Opportunity Overview SD Solutions seeks a Facilities Project Manager to join our team in support of a project with the Department of Homeland Security - U.S. Customs and Border Protection - Program Management Office (PMO).
The Project Manager will provide facilities, infrastructure, and related support services to the DHS CBP BPAM PMO.
The PMO manages real property, engineering, acquisition and environmental management for buildings and structures.
The Project Manager position is located in Euless, Texas.
Responsibilities Include Manages the budget, schedule, and requirements of multiple concurrent construction projectsLiaises between project managers, other governmental entities, upper management, and international border partners.Supports project planning, production, quality, project financial, and staff direction and oversight, and providing deliverables under the task orderManages client interface at the COTR levelReports on project progress and respond to inquiries about projects from client management and Congress.
Interface regularly with stakeholders to Project Managers, and other U.S. Government agencies and componentsManages the budget, schedule, and requirements of multiple concurrent projects.
Liaise between project managers, USACE, other governmental entities, upper management and international CBP partners to ensure that projects align with the goals of each stakeholderDevelops scopes of work and project requirement packages for new projects in the portfolio; this involves working with stakeholders to determine the requirements of the project and liaise with the technical experts who can develop project strategy/solutions (engineering, environmental, real estate, and cost estimates) for these requirementsAssists government stakeholders to create and manage the budgets and schedules and prioritizing of current and future year construction project plans for the programResolves urgent, time sensitive or unforeseen issues that arise in construction projects related to funding, project coordination and construction issuesProvides risk management baseline and manage contingency executionMonitors program funds and executes financial transactions in the government financial systemReports on program progress, issues, and resolutionsCoordinates with government stakeholders to ensure seamless transition from new project completion/capital asset formation to M&R coverageChairs meetings, IPTs and other working groups as requiredWorks with stakeholders to develop requirements packages for new construction projectsProduces risk management quantitative assessments and status reportsDevelops and delivers weekly status reports and other ad hoc reportsWrites detailed Project Requirements Documents (PRDs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Statements of Objectives (SOOs), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)Requirements Overview Bachelor's degree is required with a minimum of 5 years of experience in performing project management activitiesPossess a proven experience developing and maintaining working relationships with high level officials and technical expertsExperience with writing and developing projectsExperience writing and developing PRDs, SOWs, SOOs, PWSs, and IGCEsProficiency and experience with RSMeans construction cost estimating softwareAbility to conduct analytic assessments of work plans and progress reports and identify strengths and weaknessesAbility to work collaboratively with all team membersExcellent written and oral communication skillsFamiliar with Microsoft office suite of programs, especially MS PowerPoint, Excel, and WordFamiliar with website design and construction software programs like SharePoint or AdobeExperience working in a fast-based, analytical environmentTravel is required for the role (may be 50-60%)Superstar Qualifications DHS experience is preferredDHS Project Manager Level I & II Certification/other project management certification is desiredMinimum OSHA 10-Hour training is preferredFamiliarity with project management, scheduling, and risk management/mitigationExperienced in solving difficult issues related to project funding and schedulingMicrosoft Office including MS Project and SAP trainingHold a current, active CBP or DHS Public Trust suitability background investigationEmployment Type Full-time, W2 employmentExempt, salariedEligible for paid benefitsClearance, Citizenship, and Work Location Clearance requirement: Must be able to pass a minimum background investigation for U.S. Government Public Trust clearanceMust be U.S. citizen Location: Euless, TexasSome travel may be requiredSD Solutions Culture We are a fast-growing company who puts people first.
