Join the power movement as a Facilities Project Manager The Facilities Project Manager works with department leaders to plan and execute projects associated with the installation and modification of facilities, equipment, infrastructure and systems in all CFS facilities. Once a project has been defined, they will work with internal resources and external contractors to develop and execute the construction and installation required to complete those projects. Although primarily working within our Devens campus, this role will be called upon to assist with projects across all CFS locations.
\n What you'll do:Collaborate with internal stakeholders, engineers and the design and construction teams to develop project scope and deliverablesManages all phases of project development for large and/or complex construction and facility improvement projects and equipment installationsParticipates in the selection of vendors and contractors. Participates in defining the terms of contract agreements and ensures work is completed satisfactorily. Monitors the performance of contracts to ensure compliance with applicable specificationsMonitors project budgets to identify potential financial overruns and variances; makes appropriate recommendations to alleviate financial implicationsBasic knowledge of building codes; ability to inspect and determine the adaptability and cost of renovation of existing structures; knowledge of related state and federal regulations and statutesWork with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to identify permitting requirementsCoordinates with internal clients, third parties, IT and facility leaders, and facilitates the decision-making, approval and communication process between department liaisons and end users What we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in facilities or project management or similar preferred High school diploma or equivalency certificate with extensive experience consideredMinimum 5 years' Facilities Project Management experience in a fast paced, rapidly changing/growing manufacturing or R&D companyConstruction management principlesFacility planning principlesArchitectural and engineering principles, practices, and proceduresApplicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutesBudgeting principlesContract management principlesAdvanced project management principlesAnalyzing problems, identifying alternative solutions, projecting consequences of proposed actions, and making recommendations in support of goalsManaging multiple on-going projectsFamiliar with facilities mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems (MEP) and means and methods required for their installationDemonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical and electrical drawings, manuals, and reports.Proficiency with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and VisioCommitment to safety and qualityAbility to take directions from supervisors and work independentlyDesire to work and contribute in a fast-paced, startup R&D environment with daily changesExcellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skillsMeticulous attention to detailAbility and patience to work through projects from start to finish.
