Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Faculty Group Practice Radiology Patient Flow Associate in Manhattan. In this role, the successful candidate performs all aspects of coordinating and expediting care in regards to patient movement in the Department of Radiology. Serves as a resource for the radiology department for communicating escalation prioritization and delays in imaging. Responsible for a variety of duties involving direction coordination to ensure the efficient patient flow within the imaging section of Radiology.

Job Responsibilities: Perform all other duties assigned. Identify patient care requirements by establishing rapport and communication with patients, families, radiology staff, and patient transport. Gain patient cooperation and reduce anxieties by providing explanations of treatment delays regarding radiology studies and clinical care. Utilize the EPIC electronic medical system to track patients and their care to prioritize patient movement. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and radiology technologists to help prepare patients for examinations. Prepare patients for imaging exams following departmental protocols. Function as a liaison with radiologic technologists, nursing, and other clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and appropriate exams for patients. Resolve patient-related grievances by working with patient relations representatives. Facilitate storing patient valuables in the designated secured lockers and documenting the location in the electronic medical records. Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities. Attend nursing shift huddles, regular staff meetings, and in-services. Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have an Associate's degree with a minimum of two years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree; an equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted. Proficient in the use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office. Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
