Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our team in a community healthcare setting in Los Angeles, California. Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventative care, chronic disease management, and acute illness care.
Perform physical examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and minor office procedures as needed.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
Educate patients on preventive care, wellness strategies, and management of chronic illnesses.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, social workers, and behavioral health providers.
Refer patients to specialists or community resources as necessary to address their healthcare needs.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the delivery of care and patient outcomes.
Requirements:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine.
Active and unrestricted California medical license.
DEA license with the ability to prescribe medication.
Demonstrated commitment to serving underserved communities.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
Preferences:
Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Spanish) a plus but not required.
Experience working in a community health center, federally qualified health center (FQHC), or similar setting.
Knowledge of social determinants of health and their impact on patient outcomes.
