Family Medicine Physician New Pomona

The Family Practice Physician will be responsible for providing complete clinical care for all patients under the direction of the Medical Director and by written protocols. The Family Practice Physician works in conjunction with the Medical Director in implementing and maintaining quality care programs.
Family Practitioner - Diagnose, treat, and provide preventive care to individuals and families across the lifespan. Examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. Counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.
General job duties include: Document and update charts and patient information to show findings and treatmentsOrder tests and consultations for other physicians or healthcare staff to performReview test results to identify abnormal findingsExercise judgment in establishing priorities of medical care in triage situationsProvide case management with other health care team membersRecommend, design, and implement a long-term treatment planAddress concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-beingHelp patients take care of their health by discussing topics such as proper nutrition and hygieneManagement of services in accordance with established Clinic's policies/procedures and contracted service under CHDP, Managed Medical Care and other medical programs and guidelinesRequired Education/Experience and or Licensure/Certifications: Working knowledge of e-scriptsActive California Medical License (M.D. or D.O.)Current BLS CertificationCPR Card (Adult, Child and Infant)Medi-Care & Medi-Cal Provider
