Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. Duties:

Perform comprehensive physical assessments of patients
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
Prescribe medications and treatments, and monitor patient response and side effects
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, x-rays and other diagnostic procedures
Develop and implement patient care plans
Provide patient education on disease prevention, treatment options, and self-care techniques
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
Perform minor in-office procedures
Perform venipuncture for blood collection

Skills:

Strong clinical assessment skills to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.
Patient-Centered Care: A commitment to delivering patient-centered care and a compassionate bedside manner.
Proficiency in performing clinical procedures, such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical procedures.
Competency in prescribing and managing medications, including knowledge of potential side effects and drug interactions.
Ability to order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, as well as communicate results to patients.
Skill in providing health education and promoting wellness and prevention.
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate record-keeping and data management.
The ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and support staff.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to make informed clinical decisions.
An understanding and respect for cultural diversity to provide equitable care to all patients.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
Proficiency in handling medical emergencies and providing immediate care in critical situations.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest medical advances and best practices.
Familiarity with medical coding practices
Strong understanding of human physiology and its application to patient care
Competent in IV infusion therapy
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)

Job Qualifications:

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult Nurse Practitioner
Current Arizona state licensure as a Registered Nurse Practitioner
5 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in Family Medicine
