The Family Practitioner provides general medical care and treatment to patients in accordance with RI State and federal rules & regulations and the center's standards of care. Responsibilities include:
Performing physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines.
Evaluating the health of participants using advanced physical, developmental, and psychosocial assessment skills.
Distinguishing normal and abnormal findings to recognize health problems.
Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess residents' clinical problems.
Providing medications for chronic illnesses and adjusting medications as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
Master's Degree required (Family Nurse Practitioner).
Current RI licensure as a nurse practitioner.
Preferred minimum of 1 year experience as a nurse practitioner.
Prescriptive privileges.
Spanish speaking a plus.
