Your tasks
Plan, engineer, and improve threaded fasteners, joints and plant programmable logic controller (PLC)-based threaded fastening screwdrivers and equipment on threaded fastening equipment to join mechatronic components using threaded fasteners (screws, nuts and bolts made of high strength steel Aluminum and plastic, cold forged according to drawing, ready-to-install, galvanized and coated) and ensure high volume production of passenger vehicle seat structures including seat adjuster systems and motors, window regulators and door modules Develop, and assure setup, calibration, and programming of threaded fastening controllers to Siemens PLCs for operation Sequencing, and control of production fastening equipment including Apex and Desoutter transducerized nutsetters Assure robustness of plant fastening processes to produce tight unions of safety critical mechatronic threaded joints and assure that the joints are within acceptable quality and regulatory parameters Required travel to suppliers' plants in U.S. to evaluate technical capabilities Perform threaded fastening technologies problem solving Extract lessons learned for future technologies, and update threaded fastening software and equipment parameters to Brose standards, up to 3 weeks per year (equal to ~6% annual travel) Your Profile Bachelor, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related Twenty-four months' experience as Fastening Engineer, Fastening Specialist, Fastening Coordinator, or related Engineering or improving threaded fasteners and plant programmable logic controller (PLC)-based threaded fastening screwdrivers and equipment Ensuring high volume production of passenger vehicle seat structures, seat adjusters, or door modules, or related
