Field Assistant/Runner

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an opening for a Field Assistant/Runner for our Irvine, California office.
The job duties of this position include driving throughout Southern California and as far as the Central Valley to construction sites and transporting materials samples (e.g.
soil, concrete, asphalt, etc.)
and testing equipment, assist with handling and disposing of soil and concrete samples, and general housekeeping duties (i.e.
cleaning and organizing) within the construction materials testing laboratory environment.


Required Skills: The successful candidate should have excellent verbal communication skills, positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
Computer knowledge is a plus.
Must be in good physical health because this job involves regularly carrying heavy loads (25-100 pounds).
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.


Applicants that express a desire to work within construction or civil engineering, or eventually obtaining their ACI Field 1 certification to perform construction materials testing, becoming a field technician, and potentially progressing to special inspector (i.e.
obtaining ICC or CalTrans certifications or similar, depending on company needs) will be given priority.
The company can assist the employee in this training and obtaining these certifications.

NOTE: This is not a lab position.
We are getting people applying that have a medical or clean lab experience and this is not related to that; it is construction related and the primary responsibility is driving.
