The Field Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing and providing operational oversight of the survey field engineering team as the subject matter expert within the organization.
DUTIES & SCOPE: Manages Survey Field Engineering team throughout the organization Performs Field data collections, verifying horizontal and vertical controls Manages teams' schedules as it relates to project schedules and phases Responsible for survey work - bulk of the survey work will be shooting points for electrical boxes/sleeves/etc.
on slab on deck applications; some survey will be required for slab on grade and site/parking lot electrical installations Coordinates with field and operations management team on project schedules Trains, hires, and mentors all new survey field engineers to ensure they are up to speed on duties and responsibilities Performs employee reviews for members of Field Engineering team Responsible for Layouts - Building/Grid layout, various building systems layout, equipment/anchorage layout, foundation and bolt templates layout and verification, verification of structural systems, etc.
Tracks and maintains all equipment within the department Stays up to date on field technologies equipment and advancements Travels 25-50% of the time Performs other work as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to make timely decisions based on facts, circumstances and need Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative while also working collaboratively with others in a team environment Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written communication, and the judgement to know when to use which method Possess high level of attention to detail and accuracy Ability to communicate effectively and to interact with all levels of an organization as well as external clients 5 or more years of construction layout/survey experience 2 or more years of experience managing a team of 3-15 Highly proficient with Topcon, Sokkia, Trimble, Total Station or other survey equipment and programs Experience in vertical construction Experience with AutoCAD/ Autodesk Revit, Magnet Field Layout software Experience reading/interpreting construction drawings Self-sufficient, Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with drawing/producing shop drawings in Autodesk Revit FAA Part 107 license Experience with Drone Deploy PHYSICAL DEMANDS: N (Not Applicable) - Activity is not applicable to this occupation

The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: location, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands.The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
