Essential Job Functions: - Constructs, maintains, and modifies piping systems and process equipment relating to oil and gas or other industry by welding of pipe, flanges, and various fittings using applicable welding techniques and processes required to produce welds that meet applicable codes and client requirements. - Measures pipe routing and draft pipe configuration. - Perform repair, prep, grinding, and re-weld procedures on pipe to meet proper welding codes. - Completes records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various cleanup and housekeeping activities. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: - Ability to manage multiple teams across large geography and disciplines - Ability to read and understand structural prints, P&IDs, and ISO's - Thorough knowledge of applicable industry construction standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, and AWS standards - Knowledge of operation of welding equipment, beveling machines, electrodes, fluxes, shielding gases, and welding processes - Knowledge of the various size and grades of welding electrodes, the proper use of electrodes and welding processes, the appearance of a proper fit-up and the appearance of properly cleaned and prepared surface - Familiar with ASME B31.1 Power Piping code - Familiar with ASME B31.3 Process Piping code - Familiar with requirements for hydrotesting and X-ray testing (Not required to perform) Key Accountabilities: - Provide onsite oversite and coordination of the work activities, including but not limited to facility construction, pipe construction, maintenance, instrumentation, commissioning, repair & upgrade of existing facilities and pipeline repair - Ensure work is performed in compliance with companies' safety policies/procedures as well as all applicable environmental and regulatory requirements - Coordinates with projects, operations, planning and scheduling, and vendors to achieve established objectives and minimizes interruptions to operations - Tracks daily progress on jobs, reviews and approves daily crew timesheets and reports equipment use, expenditures and cost-control on assigned projects - Complete all required documentation and reporting activities - Oversees the materials receiving, acceptance and installation at the site Required and Preferred Skills and Experience: - 10+ years of related experience - 5 years oil & gas - 2 years management/foreman - Oversight for simultaneous projects through coordination with subordinate leaders - Strategic/functional support - Adapts and executes functional business plans; deploys resources to achieve financial and business objectives
