Job: Pay Rate $14.00 Revision Date: 15 October, 2024 GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The position of field and/or court manager is a part-time position with responsibilities at the Oakbrook YMCA. Primary duties are, but are not limited to, assisting with the organization of all youth sport schedules, communication, and implementation of YMCA procedures.
PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES: Development of strong interpersonal relationships with all members, participants and staff of the YMCA.Continually serve as a resource for member questions, concerns or needs.Ensure ongoing communication with membership services.In accordance with the mission and philosophies of the YMCA, ensure the enforcement of established YMCA operating policies and procedures, guidelines for practices, and YMCA Code of Conduct and Policies.Effectively monitor the open gym schedule ensuring proper play during games and other activities as assigned.Ongoing monitoring of all member sign-up lists.Travel to offsite sports complexes or fields if needed.Ensure ongoing cleanliness of fields, restrooms and equipment.If needed, close facilities after teams have completed their practices.Run team practices if a coach cannot attend.Be available most nights and weekends.Assist in concessions when needed.ABILITY TO: Security experience is strongly preferred, not required.Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills.Must comply with the Basic Safety Series in accordance with the Quality Standards.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: CPR/AED Certified (adult and child) within 3 months of hire.First Aid Certified – within 3 months of hire.Completion of all required online courses prior to the first day of work.Must be at least 18 years of age.EDUCATION: COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in the Windows Environment, emphasis on Word, and Excel.
Physical Demands: Carrying, Kneeling, Pushing, Climbing, Lifting (min 30 lbs.), Running, Crouching, Pulling, Standing.
