This position is responsible for monitoring all E2 Optics and customer safety programs throughout the field operations onsite to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees. Coaches employees on all safety rules and regulations.
\n Core Duties & Responsibilities: Safety is our number one priority. Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite policies.Promotes company Core Values to foster and safeguard family-centric culture.Works with personnel in all areas and at all levels to achieve consistent safe practices throughout the corporation.Makes field site visits to support safe work practices and develop safeguards.Provides technical safety and health support and information to field and corporate personnel to ensure compliance with applicable occupational safety and health regulations.Identifies company safety training needs and coordinates safety training programs.Participates in new product/process reviews, including process hazard analyses, operator training, etc.Supports field operations personnel in selection of appropriate personal protective equipment.Promotes safety and health awareness through internal company memoranda, newsletters, and specific training programs.Participates in corporate Safety Committee meetings.Assists as necessary in implementation of a hazard communication program and preparation of associated reports.Reviews process-operating procedures/records and provides input for safety and health considerations.Understands federal and state occupational safety and health regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur.Advises field operations and corporate staff of regulatory changes with which the company must comply.Audits practices and records of jobsites to ensure compliance with company programs and federal/state occupational safety and health regulations.Monitors lost-time injuries/illnesses and worker's compensation claims.Reviews field operations safety committee meeting minutes and safety inspection reports and follows up as necessary.Reviews injury/illness and non-injury incident investigation reports and follows up as necessary.Travel: The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2. Education:High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree is preferredOSHA 30 Experience: Must have 2-3 years' experience within the safety and environmental fieldsExperience with inspections, incident investigations, process safety, contractor safety, safety training, hazard reviews and job safety analysisKnowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health, and safety laws Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Strong leadership, communication, influencing and collaborative skillsExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills and decision makingStrong incident investigation, root cause analysis and continuous improvement skillsEffective oral and written skillsAbility to work both independently as well as on teamsDemonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.Ability to train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.Demonstrated team building and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills.Ability to present effectively to small and large groups.Disciplined, detail oriented, organized, and thorough self-starter.Demonstrated skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.Demonstrated ability to resolve complex problems and issues.Strategic planning skills.Ability to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedureProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.) and MS Project.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The standard work environment for this position is an indoors business office and construction environment. Ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, bend, rotate, push, pull, reach with hands and arms on intermittent to regular basis daily.
