Install and train customers on various Laser & Vision-based projection and inspection systems in variety of environments, applications, and industries.On-site calibration & commissioning of new hardware & software.System level troubleshooting.Deliver multi-day training courses including classroom-based theory & conduct hands-on "at the machine" learning for operators, administrators, & maintenance personnel.Follow all company quality and safety procedures.Provide detailed accounts of customer applications and take part in data collection for new product development & bug reporting/resolution.On-site Service & Troubleshooting
In field diagnostic testing/troubleshooting of electro optic, & electronic components using standard instruments.Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other 3rd party integrated system components.Carry out preventative maintenance programs to ensure proper machine performance while keeping required maintenance records.Provide phone and online support to customers as required.Remote Support
Provide remote technical support via phone, email, and remote desktop client from your home office.Do your part to support the global team; occasionally answer after hours support calls on nights or weekends.Maintain proper reporting and data entry within company CRM/business systems.Manage and process your own travel expenses.Product testing.Qualifications General
Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Photonics (vision) Technology or equivalent program.Multiple language skills, specifically Spanish or French, an asset, but not required.Previous experience in a technical service role or a position requiring direct customer contact is an asset.Demonstrated spatial awareness & the ability to think in 3D.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills.Safety conscious.Computer skills
Demonstrated ability with Windows & Windows based software including MS OFFICE and Google workspace.Able to interpret NC programming language (G-Code or similar).Ability to efficiently navigate advanced settings within Windows 10 including N/W troubleshooting & Installing S/W.Demonstrated knowledge of basic network topography.Comfortable learning new software.Experience with CAD design (Solidworks, Autodesk, Creo/NX, CATIA) an asset.Technical Aptitude
Demonstrated understanding of 3D coordinate systems.Demonstrated ability to read technical documentation including wiring diagrams.Demonstrated ability diagnostic tools such as LPM, DMM, Oscilloscope etc.Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings (electrical and/or dimensioned mechanical drawings).Experience and/or knowledge of CNC equipment an asset.Experience working with portable CMMs, Laser Tracker or Theodolite an asset.
