What you will be part of (Opportunity) We are building a best in class in-house door to door sales team to lead and grow Ting's footprint.  As a Field Sales  Representative, you will be a Ting ambassador playing an active role in impacting the communities in which we operate. You will be driven by the goal to expand our existing reach by prospecting future customers in your assigned territory to get activated and connected to fast and reliable high speed fiber internet, with the best customer service support in town. 

This role requires travel within Encinitas, CA and surrounding neighborhoods.

What you will be doing (Job Duties) Door-to-Door Sales: The primary duty of a commission only Field Sales Representatives will be to spend 100% of their work hours out in the field prospecting sales via Door to Door method be selling and obtaining orders or contracts for Tucows/Ting products and services.   Flexible Schedule: Field Sales Representatives will work 37.5 hours per week, in their assigned territory. Anticipated shift schedules are 10 am-6 pm or 11 am-7 pm (including one-hour lunch breaks). Shift schedules may vary based on assigned territory.  Customer Engagement: You'll spend your week going door-to-door to residences throughout your assigned territory with the goal of having valuable, face-to-face conversations and educating community members about Ting products and services. Sales Execution:You'll present and take orders for the fastest and  most reliable fiber internet service to residents. Brand Representation: You will model best practices in the sales process and in representing the Ting brand. Goal Achievement: You will be assigned weekly sales goals and activity metrics to help drive your success. Earning Potential: You'll be motivated to attain sales goals as a 100% commission based employee with uncapped earning potential.  What we are looking for (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in door-to-door sales or transferable sales experience. Communication Skills: Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and customer skills. Self-Motivated: Passionate about sales and controlling your own income. Professionalism: Demonstrate professionalism, treating people with dignity and respect in alignment with Ting's operating principles. Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using a company-issued iPad and applications to manage and document daily activities. Transportation: Must have access to reliable,  independent transportation due to the nature of this outside sales position. This will be required  to get to and from multiple addresses within the workday tied to sales territories. This includes a valid driver's license and auto insurance within the respective state if driving your personal automobile.   Physical Ability: Must be able to perform tasks that require standing and walking for extended periods during the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation. Able and willing to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions, with provided weather protection apparel (heat, rain, cold climates,etc) Why You'll Love Working at Ting Earning Potential: Highly competitive, uncapped monthly sales commissions. Expected On Target Earnings range from $75,000 to $120,000 or more.  Training & Development: Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development. We invest in your growth and success. Incurred mileage expenses will be reimbursed as incurred related to sales territory via company expense management processes Paid training during the first week of onboarding. Company-provided equipment (iPad). Three weeks of vacation and ten sick days to use as needed (unpaid). Annual learning and development reimbursement. The expected On Target Earnings range for this position is $75,000 to $120,000. The commission portion for this role will be 100% of the On Target Earnings. Range shown in $USD for US residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
