BeaconMedaes is seeking a Field Service Technician Apprentice for the New Braunfels, Texas area.
This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual to become part of our team.
In this role you are expected to perform routine annuals, routine maintenance, and repairs on medical gas equipment at customer facilities, including the completion of relevant paperwork and reports.
Your mission is to generate and maintain critical relationship with existing customers, promoting the BeaconMedaes standard of excelllence - keeping us First in Mind, First in Choice.
Roles and responsibilities are focused on:
Annual inspections and light repairs (85%) - Perform annual inspections at healthcare facilities on piped medical gas products.
Obtain and hold ASSE 6005 credential.
Assist with preventive maintenance and repairs as supervised and instructed within training purview to become ASSE 6040 credentialed and Service Technician for medical gas equipment upon demonstrated achievement of skills necessary to perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment.
• Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations
• Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Serve as an ambassador for the company
• Train and assist other Service Technicians as requested
• Provide leads to Equipment Sales and Service Sales as part of daily responsibilities in performing annual inspections
• Promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance and personal actions
• Maintain positive company brand through appropriate attention to the appearance of the company vehicle
• Maintain the service vehicle per manufacturer's recommendations
• Properly store and maintain tools used for annual inspections, keeping within our quality guidelines for calibration of such tools as provided by BeaconMedaes
Recordkeeping and Documentation (10%) - Complete Job Reports daily, Time sheets weekly, Expense reports turned in at least monthly and other job-related paperwork as required.
Warranty Part Returns (5%) - Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management.
Returns must be completed within two weeks.
Perform assigned duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer.
Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish/ maintain communication with all people/ employees considered necessary to get the job done.
Perform additional assignments as required.
To succeed, you will need
Experience
3 years of experience working with customers Demonstrated ability to exceed customer expectations in daily performance.
Mechanical and electrical experience in some form of maintenance field Have ASSE 6005 or the ability to obtain credentials within 1 year is required. Education High school diploma or GED required.
Technical training in mechanical and/or electrical, or equivalent experience.
