Field Service Technician - DCI The Field Service Technician (FST) Level 2 (DCI) is expected to have mastered the core responsibilities and expectations of a Level 1 FST including demonstrated field experience, working knowledge of low voltage and control systems, and possesses the advanced skills, training, certifications, and leadership abilities necessary to perform high-quality onsite systems inspections and testing, certifying and servicing a variety of low voltage platforms and system types.
The role has a primary focus rooted in onsite performance testing, systems certification, life cycle replacement, and servicing of multiple life-safety and security related platforms including networking, alarm communications and controls, flame and gas detection, and video management systems. Equally important is the expectation that the FST Level 2 demonstrates proficiency in other soft skills like communication, problem solving, adaptability, teamwork, critical thinking, creativity.

Responsibilities: · Execute all Level 1 installer roles and responsibilities, following our comprehensive documentation to uphold the highest standards of inspection, testing, service, and installation.

· Exhibit a deep understanding of project scopes and service expectations taking full accountability for assigned tasks, and consistently delivering outstanding results

· Maintain high standards for yourself and others, actively seeking feedback for continuous improvement
· Establish and maintain regular and effective communication channels with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers as needed, ensuring seamless project execution
· Showcase abilities for standards adoption and leadership across multiple systems and platforms. Including, basic networking (switches, firewalls, wireless bridges) , basic fire alarm and controls, cellular communications, and video surveillance.

· Skillfully perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) of products before installation, ensuring all systems meet the highest quality and performance standards

Qualifications: · NICET Level I certification is preferred
· Certifications and experience related to Installing, programming, and Servicing Honeywell Fire Alarm platforms and related, preferred
· Experience in basic networking; ie. the installation, configuration, troubleshooting and service, having a working knowledge of a wide range of basic network and IT elements including fiber optics and category cable infrastructures, network switches, firewalls, Ethernet/POE Extenders and Appliances, and maintaining physical security systems related servers and client computers), preferred
· Ability to read architectural drawings
· Previous experience completing projects within scope and budget
· Previous experience using a professional services platform (PSA) that had a service-ticket process used to capture time, expenses, and effective notes
· Excellent communication skills
· Must have valid US Driver's license
· Travel most weeks throughout the U.S, and most weekends at home
· Comfortable and skilled in performing tasks at heights utilizing ladders and a range of lifting equipment
