Hayden Machinery is currently seeking a candidate to fulfill the open position as a Field Service Technician for the West Plains, Missouri region.
Key Responsibilities: Positively take ownership of the customer experience with Hayden Machinery. Diagnose and repair multiple brands of equipment (i.e. Kobelco, Bell, Caterpillar, Deere, Komatsu, etc.). Preventative maintenance, machine inspections, and general upkeep of equipment. Operation of machinery in order to diagnose and repair, or confirm completion of repairs performed. Basic welding is infrequent but necessary. Work safely according to Hayden Machinery's Employee Handbook and Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines (OSHA). Flexibility in work type and duties. Working well as part of a team. Qualifications: 2 years minimum experience as a heavy equipment field service technician troubleshooting and repairing equipment, earthmoving equipment preferred. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate computer skills including, typing/data entry, Microsoft/GSuite, email/text communication. Industry knowledge and experience with heavy equipment and related systems (i.e. engine, hydraulic, etc.). MSHA certified, or the ability to be MSHA certified. Valid CDL, Class B or above. Knowledge and experience with basic tools as well as diagnosing equipment utilizing technology such as laptop computers (i.e. CAT "ET", Cummins Insight, Deere Service Advisor). Physical Abilities/Requirements : Able to work overtime, including evenings, occasional weekends, and on rare occasions, holidays. Able to stand for an extensive amount of time. Able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Work is performed with frequent exposure to outside elements and seasonal environmental factors. Frequent stooping, bending and lifting occur. The majority of the time is spent walking, driving or standing.
Frequent travel and occasional overnight stays for work are required for this position.
Travel for training may be required on occasion.
