Private Equity Finance Analyst / Associate About the Role The Finance Analyst/Associate will join a middle market private equity firm, in their Austin, Dallas, or San Francisco office.
In this role, you will be expected to contribute across a number of finance-related responsibilities including: financial planning, forecasting, portfolio and fund analytics, quarterly valuations, and other various analyses to support our company's strategic initiatives.
You will work closely with the finance and accounting teams to provide valuable insights and recommendations that drive informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Perform financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting activities to support the company's short-term and long-term financial goals.Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and analyzing financial and operational performance.Conduct variance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations to management.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and portfolio companies to gather relevant financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.Manage our Portfolio Monitoring System by collecting and storing data to generate data for regular and ad hoc requests.Assist in the preparation of management presentations, executive summaries, and other ad-hoc financial analyses as required.Participate in financial and operational audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.Support the preparation of fund-level financial reporting, including investor updates, performance metrics, and fund valuations.Professional Experience & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are highly desirable.3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, private equity, or related roles within the financial industry.Strong financial modeling and valuation skills with expertise in Excel.
Experience with financial software (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) is a plus.Ability to analyze complex financial data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of the private equity industry is advantageous.Salary Salary is competitive, depending on experience.
