Finance & Contracts Specialist Location Des Moines, IA : Job Title Finance & Contracts Specialist Job Summary | Major goals and objectives. The Finance and Contracts Specialist is responsible for accurate onboarding of new contracted freelancers and contractors, and processing the department's invoices from those individuals and companies. The role ensures the accounting accuracy of both print and digital including financial reporting for management to be able to monitor the success of the business. The role will require the use of multiple cloud-based and desktop systems to enter data, monitor status of assignments, and reporting tools to gather month-end results for accurate billing and invoicing. Essential Job Functions 20% - Ensure all freelance resources have appropriate master agreements and schedules entered in the Dotdash Meredith contracts database. 20% - Confirm all work assignments have contracts assigned by staff that ensure contracts are in force and photography, video, and location releases are obtained and entered in the Dotdash Meredith contracts database. Review archived works to ensure proper metadata has been added to assets. 20% - Process all invoices for editorial and marketing teams through Dotdash Meredith's Markview system, including editorial charge-offs and reporting at month's end. 20% - Coordinate with corporate billing specialist to ensure departments digital campaigns are billed accurately, including creating end-of-month third party delivery reports for billing reconciliation. Complete and deliver digital reporting and finances to marketing and digital teams. 20% - Other duties include ensuring timely delivery of magazine content to digital team and online platform. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered Education B.A./B.S. in marketing, accounting, business, communications or related field preferred; or equivalent training or experience. Experience: Proven experience in financial reporting, accounting, issuing contracts, and financial records using a variety of software tools to ensure the highest level of accuracy.
