About Our Client We are working with a client in the Construction sector, who has a nationwide footprint, to identify a Finance Leader to join their business. The company is well-established and a large part of their growth strategy will be based around Mergers and Acquisitions. The position reports to the newly appointed CFO and partners with other Executive Leadership.
Job Description The Finance Director will be a key part of the leadership team and be responsible for the following:
Preparation of the consolidated, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and financial statement packages for both external and internal reporting purposes.Ensure financial reports reflect the latest accounting standards and stay current on applicable accounting standards relevant to the company's industries.Implement new accounting standards and the accounting for transactions and manage contracts and other documents to determine correct accounting practices.Work collaboratively with external auditors, third-party valuation firms, and other stakeholders, including the compilation of financial statements, preparation of footnote disclosures, legal updates, and third-party valuations.Prepare audit schedules, organize, and review supporting documentation for audits. Implement agreed-upon recommendations related to areas of responsibility, resulting from audit findings.Collaborate directly with business unit leaders and department heads, utilizing reporting, analysis, and budgeting to drive positive change within their organizations.Work cross-functionally to drive and lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.Develop financial models to support business decisions, including revenue forecasting, expense management, and capital investment analysis.Analyze financial performance and prepare reports on key metrics to support strategic initiatives.Analyze business unit trends (top-line and costs) and create tools for job cost control and labor forecasting.The Successful Applicant CPA EssentialMaster's Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance related field preferredBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business essential10+ years of Finance Leadership tenureERP system implementation preferredMerger and Acquisition accounting integrationWhat's on Offer Base Salary Range: $185,000 - $200,000Bonus eligibility up to 20%401k planInsurance (health, dental, vision)PTOAdditional director level benefitsIf you would like to be considered for this opportunity, please submit your resume for further consideration.
