You will perform simple to moderately complex analysis of accounting standards and regulations that will be incorporated into our financial accounting research platform.
You are an accountant that possesses writing skills and have substantive experience researching and communicating accounting changes in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
You possess an understanding of Accounting for Income Taxes under ASC 740 and are interested in putting that experience to work in a technology-driven environment.
You will be part of a team tasked with ensuring the substantive accuracy and timeliness of content and analysis on Bloomberg Financial Accounting.
What you will do:
Analyze simple to moderately complex accounting developments.
Update Accounting Portfolios and other products for such developments by adding, deleting, or modifying content to reflect relevant changes in the applicable rules.
Edit contributed content, including manuscripts of Accounting Portfolios, for substantive accuracy, clarity, format, and style. Develop and maintain knowledge of technical issues and accounting developments of interest to customers. Conduct limited peer review of other analysts' work. Participate in special projects, including the development of new products and tools. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and customer experience teams to support customer initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned.
You need to have: Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, plus CPA designation.
An MST is desirable.
3 years' relevant experience required.
Education may be considered in lieu of experience.
Special Requirements: Candidates may be required to pass a test for this position.
