This position provides assistance to students and families in person, over the phone, and through email as well as assisting office staff.
The Financial Aid Student Assistant is responsible for:
Using an imaging system to scan and link documents to student accountsProviding assistance to students and families with completing financial aid applications and formsAssisting students in the financial aid computer labAnswering phones and emailsAssisting financial aid staff with specific processes and projects as neededOther duties that may be assigned.Required QualificationsMWSU StudentDegree SeekingAt least an overall 2.0 GPAEnrolled at least part-timeMust be eligible for Federal Work StudyPreferred QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesSelf-motivated, independent worker who also works well with othersOrganizedStrong attention to detailWillingness and ability to learn new programsAble to work a set schedule each week.Physical DemandsSedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
