The Contract Management Services area within the Human Services and Public Health (HSPH) department is seeking a Financial Case Aide to join the Service Authorization Unit. 
Location and hours: This position is remote. Remote workers may be required to come on-site an average of 0 to 12 days a year for work meetings, trainings, or for any other reasons that their supervisor may deem necessary (may include additional days for onboarding and new employee training). Supervisors will provide as much advance notice as practicable. Work hours for this position are 8:00 am- 4:30 pm. While this position is designated as remote, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

 
About this position: This a fulltime benefit-earning position. You must be a current regular or probationary employee of Hennepin County to apply for this position. . Limited duration employees not eligible.

In this position, you will: Review, authorize, and process service authorizations and service arrangements in the Social Services Information System (SSIS) and/or Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). Enter and maintain client information on multiple databases. Communicate and coordinate with case managers/assessors, waiver finance staff, and providers to resolve client financial eligibility and billing issues. Implement processes to facilitate the authorization and payment of services for clients. Ensure that clients remain within established financial qualifications and in compliance with laws, policies, and procedures for case managers, clients, vendors, and providers. Maintain records of resources required and services received for case managers and other business partners. Gather and report program outcomes and dashboard statistics. Need to have: One of the following: Two years or more of relevant experience performing transactions, mathematics, or accounting. Two years or more of college coursework in business, finance, communication, or customer service. Completion of a two-year Human Services Certificate program. Associate degree or higher in Human Services. Nice to have: Experience: Working with SSIS, MMIS, Microsoft Office suite (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, and Word) and electronic case files. Working on an integrated team with individuals from different disciplines and job classes. Working with a culturally diverse base of clients and customers. Ability to: Provide self-direction and meet standards under limited supervision. Organize work, meet deadlines, and set priorities. Establish and maintain good working relationships with the community, county and state workers, and foster care providers and community.  Read and apply policies and procedures. Manage a high-volume workload. Strong mathematical, research, and problem-solving skills. About the department:
