The Finance Process, Analytics, Reporting, and Technology (PART) team is looking for a passionate and highly motivated analyst. As part of this team, you will support Apple's growth, both top and bottom line, by applying the same level of innovation toward financial matters as we do toward our products and services. We work closely with various business teams to deeply understand current and future commercial initiatives and then partner with data engineering, data science, and full stack development teams to ensure our finance teams are fully empowered to operate efficiently and make well-informed decisions.
DescriptionWe are looking for an outgoing professional with high analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to support the WW Sales and Retail Finance Organization. In this role, you will be responsible for partnering across business teams to find and execute on the highest leverage opportunities to improve key finance capabilities. The position requires the ability to understand and work with complex data sets, generated from equally complex business processes, in order to drive insights.
ResponsibilitiesThe position will work cross-functionally with Apple Retail, Sales, Finance, and technical teams to:
Deeply understand Apple's relevant business activities, commercial interests, and related processesPartner with and train analysts to best use our data and technology infrastructure for building dashboards/reports and conducting analysesIdentify opportunities to improve our internal reporting and analytical capabilitiesTranslate opportunities/business requirements into technical requirements and work with technical partners to assess feasibility and form project plansCommunicate business value of proposed projects to senior leadership for prioritizationDrive prioritized projects and communicate progress on planned milestones to senior leadershipMinimum Qualifications5+ years consulting or financial/business/data analyst experienceBS/MBA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics or BS/MS in STEM or quantitative field (CS, Applied Statistics, Operations Research)Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial modelingExperience working with enterprise systems and an understanding of data design pattern differences between transactional ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and analytical data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake)Ability to self-start and self-direct work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguityAdvanced knowledge of SQL and working with large datasetsExperience with data analytics tools and languages (e.g. R, Python)Experience building interactive data visualizations, strong storytelling skills (e.g. Tableau, Streamlit, Shiny)Experience building/applying statistical and/or machine learning solutions to solve business problemsExcellent problem-framing, problem solving and project management skills, with the ability to change direction quicklyStrong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate results of analysis in business termsConfirmed ability to conduct complex, data-driven analysisAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $133,900 and $201,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
