We have a contract opportunity for Financial Analyst in Durham North Carolina. This is an immediate position approved until the end of the year.

Summary:
The Financial Analyst is a business partner for the R&D Microbiology and Medical Affairs teams to support performance monitoring, budget processes & strategic planning, as well as the portfolio process. This role supports month-end close and works with accounting for full-cycle accounting processes.
Job Description: Budgets, forecast and plans processes for the Microbiology R&D and Medical Affairs teams. Collaborates with management to support accurate reporting for R&D budgets. Work with HR business partners to build and monitor the workforce budget. Leads monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Ensure financial rules are followed by the business and are in line with corporate processes. Supports analysis and reporting for R&D and Medical Affairs scope, including project analysis, and provide reporting to support management in decision-making. Supports the R&D team with preparation of project budgets, cost proposals, and forecasts. Support the tax team with the R&D Tax Credit Analysis. Supports R&D grant cost proposals, financial reporting, and audits when grants are received. Supports monthly & Ad-hoc reporting, and accounting group day-to-day business process. Participate in global finance initiatives. Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
3+ years of experience in the Finance/Accounting with knowledge in financial planning & analysis.
Intermediate MS Excel and PowerPoint skills necessary.
SAP knowledge a plus.
