Trusted products that accelerate drug discovery, development, and delivery to save livesDamage-resistant cover glass to enhance the devices that keep us connectedOptical fiber, wireless technologies, and connectivity solutions to carry information and ideas at the speed of lightPrecision glass for advanced displays to deliver richer experiencesAuto glass and ceramics to drive cleaner, safer, and smarter transportationResponsibilitiesExpert resource for issues relating to technical accounting and policy for assigned regions, divisions and corporate functions.Collaborate and consult with the business and Corporate, such as division and business controllers, finance managers and directors on a regular basis to ensure awareness of transactions and changes that have a potential accounting impact.Lead the implementation of new accounting standards for assigned segments and business divisions.Responsible for preparing technical accounting updates to management.Participate in updating Company Accounting Policy to appropriately reflect US GAAP requirements and identifying areas of improvement based on accounting consultations handled.Responsible for the preparation and review of certain complex footnote disclosures for the Company's quarterly and annual reporting on Form 10-Q and Form 10-K.Provide guidance to business transaction teams (including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, derivatives, and significant sales and leasing agreements) and ensure proper accounting for activities and disclosure.Projects can include M&A, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, derivatives, and significant sales agreements, technical accounting memorandum, technical accounting training, 10Q and 10K footnotes, division initiatives, and monitoring and implementation of emerging GAAP.Some travel may be required. Amount of travel will be less than 15%.Experiences/Education - RequiredBS in AccountingPublic Accounting experience required, and Big 4 experience is preferredCPA is required8+ years of combined public accounting and corporate technical accounting experienceAbility to develop solutions to complex issuesExperiences in foreign currency accounting and financial instruments/derivatives are desiredSoft SkillsStrength of business partnershipStrong leadership skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsTeam player with strong organizational skillsHigh integrity (handling confidential info)This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $132,649.00 - $182,393.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
