This position is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Financial Manager Comptroller Annual Salary:

Level I D33A $70,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits Level II D33B $80,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits Travel is occasional.  Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance. Basic Purpose: Under administrative direction of Finance management; plans, organizes, coordinates, directs, and supervises all phases of the agency's fiscal operations within the Finance Division of the Department of Human Services. Positions assigned to the classification are located in the Finance Division of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. Job Responsibilities: Developing and managing personnel and operating budget - manages assigned division budget, coordinates with division on personnel and operating budget activities, develop and prepare annual budget work program.Reviewing budget funding requests for merit and authenticity - reviews budget funding request, validates grants awarded and funding sources, and approves budget.Reviewing and approving expenditures and obligations - reviews and approve purchase requisitions and eligible expenditures.Preparing budget analysis reports and budget estimate - reviews budget to actual expenditure report and variance analysis.Establishing proper budget controls and business processes to be in compliance - establish and implement budget control in accordance to budget policies and state statute as well as Federal regulatory.Ability to build and maintain Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, use common Microsoft Excel formulas and create pivot tables to analyze large volumes of data for budget analysis and to identify variances. *Preference may be given to applicants with experience in PeopleSoft. Minimum Qualifications Level I: Completion of the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's  degree in business or public administration, or a closely related field; and five (5) years of experience in professional accounting, or closely related work; including two (2) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity;OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.Level II: Education and Experience required at this level consist of a bachelors degree in accounting, business, public administration or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in professional accounting, auditing or closely related work, including two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.______________________ If you have questions, please contact ******** OKDHS is a Fair Chance Employer.
