Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Financial Medicaid Program Director job opportunity .  *****Remote - Client wants someone who lives in Columbia, MD. Shift: Mon – Fri normal business hours EST but needs some flexibility (occasionally 1 weekend day)
Length : 7+ months
Pay Rate : $53.37 – 65.00/HR (depending upon experience)
Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and finance activities associated with the Maryland Medicaid BH contract.
Oversee the work of two FTEs and will need to work with other cross functional teams.
Overseeing the weekly check write process for provider payments, which exceeds $40 million dollars.
Oversee the reconciliation of the state's bank accounts used to fund provider payments and communicate cash flow needs to the State of Maryland.
Corresponding reporting requirements related to service category spend and outstanding provider receivable balances that will be tracked on a weekly basis.
Set and oversee weekly meetings with the State of Maryland to update the customer on recent trends and provider payment activity.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent
5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience required.
Needs to have experience managing 1 or more employees.
Able to navigate and sort large datasets within Excel.
Able to work with cross functional teams to gather information pertaining to the State Medicaid contract.
Able to clearly articulate findings to both internal management and the external customer.
