COMPANY OVERVIEW Race Rock (RR) is a Houston, TX based manufacturer of critical infrastructure products and solutions with a nationwide presence. RR's portfolio companies currently include: Structural and Steel Products, a Fort Worth, TX based manufacturer of engineered pole products for electricity transmission/distribution, highway lighting and sign structures, telecommunications, and other specialty end markets Highway Safety, a Glastonbury, CT based fabricator of guardrail and bridge rail products as well as solar panel structural support posts, with in-house galvanizing capabilities Ohio Galvanizing, a Marion, OH based provider of galvanizing services Texas Corrugators, a Hutto, TX based provider of guardrail, bridge rail, sign posts, corrugated pipe, and other highway and construction products RR anticipates expanding operations to additional geographies and end markets through a combination of both expansion projects and acquisitions over the next few years. The company's investment focus will be infrastructure products and services in the highway, telecommunications, and electricity transmission and distribution markets. JOB SUMMARY The position will report to the Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy and be responsible for assisting with strategic financial analysis across all business lines. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned) Assist with financial modeling and associated sensitivity analysis for all prospective M&A activity Evaluate impact to long-term equity value of various acquisitions, divestitures, growth projects, and other activity as needed Perform market research and competitor analysis in Race Rock's key areas of business Define key financial metrics within the operating businesses and build out ability to track and monitor performance of respective individual and combined businesses Lead variance analysis and tracking Assist with yearly budgeting process across the organization Potential for as-needed exposure to other functions, including tax, project finance, M&A diligence and others Assist on special projects (i.e. procurement evaluation, cash management tracking, etc) MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS 3-5 years of related experience Approximately 25-50% travel required to the various company locations (currently TX, CT & OH) KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Very strong Excel skills and solid working knowledge with other Microsoft Office applications Basic familiarity with ERP systems and ability to learn, understand and follow related system transactions Comfortable working with and extracting useful information from large data sets Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment Detail oriented, organized, and strict adherence to schedules Self-starter comfortable working in a rapidly growing business with desire to learn and advance operating proactively by identifying and prioritizing tasks in order of criticality
