Job Summary The FP&A Manager will play a key role in guiding the financial strategy of our company as we transition from R&D to production.
This role involves detailed financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to support the company's growth and operational scalability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a technology-driven environment, a strong understanding of the financial challenges during a scale-up phase, and the ability to provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
Primary Duties / Responsibilities: Financial Planning: Develop and manage the company's budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial goals with the company's strategic objectives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analyses, including variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and scenario planning.
Identify key financial drivers and trends to support operational and strategic decisions.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term financial strategies that align with the company's transition from R&D to production.
Provide financial modeling to evaluate different strategic initiatives.Performance Monitoring: Establish financial KPIs and dashboards to monitor the company's financial performance.
Analyze financial data to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.Cost Management: Work closely with operations, engineering, and production teams to track and manage production costs.
Provide insights on cost optimization and efficiency improvements as the company scales.Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to executive leadership and the board of directors.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, in compliance with GAAP or other relevant standards.Investment Analysis: Support capital investment decisions by analyzing potential returns, risks, and impacts on the company's financial health.
Assist in evaluating funding needs and strategies.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other departments to ensure financial alignment across the company.
Provide financial support for key projects, including product launches and market expansion.Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead or participate in special projects as required, such as system implementations, process improvements, or M&A activities. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES - REQUIRED Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
An advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CFA) is preferred.Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a technology or manufacturing company.
Experience with companies in the transition from R&D to production is highly desirable.Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
Experience with data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms is a plus.Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Business Acumen: Understanding of the financial dynamics of scaling a business, particularly in a technology-driven environment.
