We are able to assist our customers during all stages of their manufacturing journey, from device conception and manufacturing through to finishing and polishing, and eventual packaging.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Production Associate - Finishing is responsible for cleaning, deburring, belting and polishing of high quality implants.
They will also provide support in various areas: Grit Blasting, Laser Marking, Drag Finishing, Manual Belting, Manual Polishing, Visual Inspection and cleaning.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Reads routers and work instructions and to instructions accordingly.
Uses hand tools, air tools or polishing lathes to create the desired surface finish on the implants.
Duplicates the same process from part to part.
Verifies quality by Visual inspection to against known standards.
Completes all documentation as instructed.
Changes wheels or replaces belts on polishing lathes.
Changes tools on powered equipment.
Cleans polishing lathe as needed.
Operates ultrasonic cleaners and add solutions as necessary.
Monitors dust collector.
Support Lean Manufacturing and EHS initiatives as needed.
Trains and mentors new associates if needed.
Work overtime as necessary.
Other jobs as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years' related experience Experience working in production environment.
Preferred Possesses basic knowledge of safety equipment and practices.
Preferred Full training will be given as needed.
SKILLS: LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, routers and written procedures.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
