Fire/Life SafetyInspectorsplay a vital role in preventing, detecting, and mitigating the impact of fires. You will perform tasks such as minor repairs and visual and functional testing on fire alarm systemsin accordance withall national and local standardsas well asinspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systemsin accordance withall national and local standards. In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to entry level fire alarm inspectors, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team.Why is this so important?Our fire inspectors significantly contribute to public safety, property protection, and overall emergency preparedness.

As a Fire/Life SafetyInspector, you will:
Follow and maintain high structured inspection schedules providing inspection, testing, and performing minor service and deficiency repairs for fire alarmand sprinklerequipment to comply with NFPA72 standards as well as state and local codes.Note deficiencies, remedies, and review pricing with customers. Complete service ticket documentation before leaving the customer site. Follow-up on corrective actions
Maintain complete andaccuratedocumentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to city municipalitywebsites
Provide instructions to customer personnelregardingproper operation and routine inspections.Assistwithtraining
Work overtime when needed, andmaintainstock, tools, and equipment invehicles
Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies andprocedures
Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role
Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25standards
Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations. Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions?
Provide subject matter expertise to peers?

You will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
1+ year of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Life Safety Systems
Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical and electrical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment,working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside/inside/heat/cold/day/night conditions; use hand tools, laptop (Microsoft proficient), email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 poundsunassisted
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand design and construction documents?
On-the-job experience estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs?
Must have or obtain NICET Level II Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems or state certification within 12 months?
Must be able to differentiate types/colors ofwire
Must be 18 years of age andpossessa valid driver's license with limitedviolations
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without companysponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or state-recognized GED;Associatedegree in electronics or related field preferred
Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level II within 12months
3+ years' experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire/Life Safety Systems
Ability to read/understand design and constructiondocuments

The pay range for this position is $37870 - $64920. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills,qualificationsand premium geographic location.
