Job Summary: Gulf Coast Industrial is currently seeking a Fireproofer Foreman.
This position is the senior craft person responsible for performing and directing the work of a fireproofing crew.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform pre-job safety planning (Job Hazard Analysis) for each work task and ensure that employees adhere to all safety rulesConduct crew meetings and assist in conducting toolbox meetingsEnsure employees are following all GCI's, Contractor's, and governmental safety requirementsUnderstand scope of contract and change order processEnsure that no out-of-scope work is performed without approved change orderEnsure that work is performed in accordance with Contractor SpecificationsEnsure accurate loading, unloading and storage of assigned materials and equipmentAssure that all equipment on the job site is in safe and efficient working conditionResponsible for proper use and care for all GCI and Client facilities and equipmentEnsure compliance with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) (including inspection and documentation) of the workRequest equipment and supplies as needed and ensure that the proper equipment is being used for the specified tasksEstimate material and worker requirements to complete jobAssign work to employeesEnsure up-to-date, accurate time records, and ensures that man-hours, materials and quantities are properly reportedAnalyze and plan installation and construction of equipment and structures.Ensure workers are proficient in understanding GCI best practicesRecommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety
Key Requirements, Education, and Experience:
Able to effectively communicate with employees and supervision2+ years of experience in a supervisory role in the craftAbility to work independently or as part of a teamAbility to read and understand specifications, such as blueprints, to determine requirementsAbility to apply SFRM per manufacturers recommendations preferred.Ability to read and write and interpret spray charts.Must be able to understand oral and written instructions, sketches, and diagrams.Ability to work from scissor lifts, boom lifts and scaffolds.Must be able to work in extreme temperatures.Must be able to stand, bend, and kneel often in confined spaces.Work in an indoor and outdoor environment including field, yard, and shop locations.Utilize necessary Personal Protective Equipment
Travel:
Occasionally to other job sites as necessary.
