We are looking for a Firmware Engineer II with experience in the following areas:
Proficiency with microcontroller and FPGA development tools with the ability to write production code in VHDL and C.
Proficiency in writing code for SPI, I2C, CAN, and asynchronous communications.
As an employee, you will work in groups with other engineers to contribute to new instrument development and maintenance of existing instruments.
You will write, test, and debug HDL code and microcontroller firmware, wakeup and troubleshoot new PCB assemblies, and contribute to porting firmware to new target hardware when obsolescence issues arise.
Requirements
Experience with Xilinx families of FPGAs and associated development tools.
Experience with ARM-embedded development environments such as KEIL, IAR, Atollic, or similar.
Knowledge of DSP concepts like FIR filters, IIR filters, and IQ demodulation.
Experience with analog, low-noise circuits and ability to understand their schematics.
Knowledge of PLL, ADC, and DAC devices.
Ability to work well in small groups with other engineers.
Knowledge of subversion/source control methods.
Education Requirements
Master's Degree or Ph.D in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2-7 years of experience developing embedded systems solutions.
