Vice President, Risk Governance, 1L Risk

The US Banks team seek aVice President ("VP")to join the First Line of Defense Business Risk team. The candidate will support administration of the first line of defense business risk department and report to the VP of Risk Governance.Responsibilities for this role will be:
·Develop governance standardsfor First Line of Defense Committeesincluding
oCollaborating with Committee Chairs and Secretaries to ensure compliance with Committee Standards
§Standards of committee documentation
§Documenting annual calendar to support compliance w committee charters
oOverseeing charter maintenance and membership to align to Firm/Bank standards and comprehensive risk coverage
oEstablishing and maintaining key meeting standards including agendas, minutes, central location for materials/artifacts and action items.
oSupporting Committee Chairs to ensure information is cascaded and/or escalated as required
oProvide support for Reputation Risk and Bank Risk Management Committee
oDevelop reporting required per charters
Required Skills/Experiences:
·Minimum 6-10+ years of professional experience in financial services industry; preferably in risk management, finance, compliance, or audit.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or 10+ years Banking experience (Preferred)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment, both independently and as part of a team, under tight deadlines and with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, efficiently and effectively.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical, quantitative, and investigative problem-solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; capable of clear and concise writing, making presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with upper management, colleagues and clients.
• Strong project management and technical reporting skills i.e. dashboard creation

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
