Job Summary:
The Fitness Center Member Sales Representative is responsible for driving membership sales and achieving sales targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This role involves engaging potential members, providing information about the fitness center's offerings, and converting leads into loyal members.
Key Responsibilities: Sales and Membership Acquisition: Actively seek out and engage potential members through tours, outreach, and follow-up calls.
Conduct informative and persuasive sales presentations to prospective members, highlighting the benefits and features of the fitness center.
Handle membership inquiries and provide detailed information about membership options, pricing, and promotions.
Close sales and achieve monthly and quarterly membership sales goals.
Customer Experience: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering personalized service and addressing member needs and concerns.
Provide tours of the facility, demonstrating equipment, classes, and amenities to potential members.
Follow up with new members to ensure a smooth onboarding process and address any initial questions or issues.
Marketing and Promotion: Assist in implementing marketing campaigns and promotional offers to attract new members and retain current ones.
Participate in community events, fitness fairs, and other outreach activities to promote the fitness center.
Maintain and update marketing materials, such as brochures and digital content, to reflect current offers and promotions.
Administrative Duties: Process membership applications, contracts, and payments accurately and efficiently.
Maintain up-to-date records of sales activities, leads, and follow-ups in the CRM system.
Prepare and submit regular sales reports and performance metrics to management.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the member services team, fitness trainers, and management to ensure a cohesive approach to member acquisition and retention.
Share feedback and insights with the team to improve sales strategies and member satisfaction.
Qualifications: Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Proven sales experience, preferably in a fitness or service-oriented industry.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills.
Strong ability to handle objections and close sales effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with software.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Passion for fitness and wellness is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
