The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation, while supporting month-end and year-end closing processes
Key Responsibilities of the Fixed Assets Accountant:Fixed Asset Management:- Oversee the capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets in accordance with company policies and GAAP.- Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.General Ledger Support:- Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to fixed assets and depreciation expenses.- Reconcile fixed asset accounts to the general ledger and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.Reporting & Compliance:- Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and explanations.Qualifications of the Fixed Assets Accountant:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.- 3-5 years of experience in fixed asset accounting and general ledger responsibilities.- Strong knowledge of GAAP and fixed asset accounting principles.#LI-Hybrid #accounting #fixedassets #newbraunfels #seguin #sanmarcos #accountingjobs
