The Fleet Specialist is responsible for all aspects of fleet operations, including maintaining the company's owned and leased fleet vehicles along with other associated trailers and equipment. (This is meant to be a guide. Duties may vary dependent upon management.) Essential Position Functions: • Oversees the development and implementation of the company's fleet vehicle programs and policies.
• Implements, schedules, and maintains documents for all required driver qualifications and training.
• Acquires and liquidates fleet assets as directed.
• Performs periodic audits of fleet vehicles and equipment, for all divisions, to ensure proper care, maintenance, safety, and DOT compliance.
• Inputs and maintains data in various fleet management systems, such as Fleetio, Azuga, and Foley driver records.
• Works with accounting managers to ensure the accuracy of inputted data and reports generated by Fleetio fleet
management system.
• Ensures required maintenance and repairs of fleet vehicles, trailers, and equipment is performed timely and
fully documented.
• Ensures all vehicle accidents are investigated timely and accurately. Works with Health and Safety Manager
with vehicle accident reporting requirements.
• Ensures a system is in place for compliance and enforcement of applicable county, state, and federal laws,
and regulations.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with vendor companies associated with fleet maintenance and
procurement.
Education and/or Experience: • High school diploma required. Associates/Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 3-5 years of fleet experience required.
• Must possess a strong knowledge of DOT regulations for commercial motor vehicles, CDL driver
requirements, along with various state, county, and municipality requirements.
• Must have working knowledge of fleet contractual language.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required. High skill level with Excel is a must.
• Ability to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work self-directed with a sense of urgency.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and have acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Possessing a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is highly desirable.

• 50% travel within 250-mile radius of Phoenix, Arizona. 10% travel beyond the 250-mile radius. Most travel is

• This position requires the use of a company vehicle and adherence to company fleet policies will be required.
• Frequent use of a computer is necessary.
