SSSD has an opening for a Flight Inspector 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Essential Function:
Inspects demonstrator and production aircraft systems, equipment and parts for operation and conformance to government and company standards and specifications.
Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft.
Performs preflight and postflight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft.
Approves non-flight-proven aircraft for flight.
Inspects, adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80.
The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
Must have the ability and/or willing to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
Basic Computer Skills / Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to read blueprints
Must be able to program parts from blueprints and write inspection programs for CMM inspection
Ability to use inspection equipment such as: micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Calypso software version 7.0
Possess a high degree of GD&T understanding
Salary Range: $79,800 - $133,000
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
