Action Staffing Solutions is seeking Pharmacists for one of our Government clients.
The position involves providing on-site services at multiple locations.
The Duties For This Position Include Provide pharmaceutical verification of prescription orders of legend, OTC, Medical Surgical (Med/Surg), and Controlled Substances to patients requiring care.Assessment of drug order and cross match with medication presented at checking stations.Pre-verification of medications loaded into mechanical apparatus to dispense medications in prescription bottles.Provides therapeutic and pharmacokinetic drug monitoring.
Analyzes medications regimens to ensure the most effective, least toxic and most economical treatment plan.
Interviews patients to ascertain significant past medical history and medications history.
Provides medications reconciliation.Provide full checking, labeling, and quality assurance within the written policies and procedures.Dispense medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines for controlled substances.Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous wasteApplicants for this role must have the following qualifications and experience:
Pharmacists must be a graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.Be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
License must be current, valid and unencumbered.Must be licensed for controlled substances.Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with coworkers and staff.Basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office.Fluency in English (reading, understanding, speaking, and writing).Understanding of necessary precautions when handling hazardous medications, materials, and hazardous waste.Ability to pass a pre-assignment background check and drug screening.This is a contractor position based on a contract.
